P0300 and P0307 misfires

Drives good... Just bucks and jerks up to speed at random... (a little constant shimmer too) Keep in mind the motor has been sitting for quite some time...

I pulled P0300 and P0307. (Random and #7 misfires)

I only have one major question right at this second having to do with misfires...

Is this something that can ruin a motor in the very "short term"?...

I don't have a bunch of money to sink into this now (after the $440.00 hit this morning) but will have more in a couple of weeks, and a little more a couple of weeks after etc...

I could get by on only driving this about 50-100 miles a month... Mostly around the corner to the grocery store or out to dinner sort of thing... Should I be overly concerned about this issue "today"? -- as opposed to taking it easy and address the issues as I'm able over the next 30-40 days while keeping the driving to a minimum?...

sounds like a case of the "COPs (coil on plug) going bad".... it usually is a low grade misfire but yours is probably bad since it set off the 0307.... when is the last time you had a tune up? coils-plus... might be time to think about it... best and cheapest place for COPs are ebay... look up globalautomotive... around 100$ shipped for all 8 COPs... or 30-40 a peice at autozone or more at stealership...

when mine had a misfire... I drove it for a week and a half before I got my COPs and I dont think it harmed it... best bet would be drive it as little as possible and dont drive it like you stole it until it is fixed...just my .02

I think one of your COPs could be going bad too. If they have never been replaced, it is likely your problem, and when one goes, they are usually all ready to go. Like Walnuts said, and you did in one of your other posts, ebay is pretty good to check, and you should be able to change them yourself, and if the plugs are going, I would change them at the same time. Good plugs will only run you a couple bucks a piece, but can be tricky if you've not very good with mechanics, but you'll be fine if you take your time.
