I ran out of fuel pressure on Dyno the fuel regulator went bad only had 20psi. It made 300RWHP and 490RWQT at 4800Rpms. Redynoing on Tuesday I have fuel pressure back 40 plus PSI. Should make Lots more power.

Nice job.

Are you just running your stock PCM and doing a tune off of it? Or are you using a Lightning PCM?

I wonder if you could use a Navi engine and a suppercharger with the stock pcm and retune it in the Exped?

I dynoed again today ran out of fuel again. I am going to install dual pumps in tank. Lightnings run two in tank stock. Truck screams on Dyno has 13psi. I just need the fuel to make the power. Will update later

What fuel pump are you running?? Not stock pump is it? I was told I need a 255lph intake pump and that should be good for 500rwhp. Stock pump is no good for lightning motor.

The lightning dual pump set up only runs 1 pump primarily. When it gets into boost it brings on the 2nd pump. This is done by the lightning CPU. If you dont have a lightning cpu you will need to install your own boost sensitive switch or wire it hot always. You would likely need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with that set up as the volume might overwelm the stock regulator. Otherwise you can just use a single 255 lph intake pump. Still a good idea to get adj regulator.

I was running a 255lph walbro needs more. I installed a 344lph areo force my fuel pressure looks much better running 38psi idle and under boost 52psi. Hope to Dyno again Tuesday or wednesday. I may run 10gauge wiring back to pump.

Thats scary. 255lph should be good up to 500rwhp...or so I was told. Maybe there is some other underlying issue... bad ground or wiring. Pinched fuel line?? I might have to consider a Kenne Bell boost a pump. Let me know how she works... I have similar set up.

I thought fuel pressure at idle was near 35psi and 45psi with vacuum disconnected. Then 1 to 1 ratio for amout of boost produced. So if you are running 14 - 16 psi boost it would be 59-61 psi.

Great #'s Kentv6!!:waytogo::waytogo: Glad you got it all straightened out.

Now that has me concerned about my set up as I have a walbro 255 intank pump. :( Debating on twin pumps, bigger pump or 255 with Kenne Bell boost-a-pump. Im leaning towards the boost-a-pump.

How many #'s of boost did you end up making??

Kentv6.. Could you please tell me the part# on your walbro 255lph pump you have because they have different versions. (standard and high pressure for boost) Mine is the GSS340 (high pressure version). Just want to know if we have the same pump.

Same part number as mine was. Maybe I got a bad pump. A lightning runs two pumps at the same time. It just adjusts the ground side to more or less resistance. I think they were duel 155lph. The lightning guys were installing duel 255LPH pumps in place for more fuel.

Hey Kentv6, you had me concerned about my walbro 255 fuel pump. So I just ordered an Aeromotive 11142 intank fuel pump. (340lph) Hope this is correct fit for the tank. I know aeroforce makes gauges but found no fuel pumps so I hope you meant Aeromotive. :hmm:

So how much boost did you end up with??

I have a 2# crank pulley so it should be set up for 10#'s boost but i'm afraid I will end up with 8#'s or less with the heads, cam, and porting. That is unless the blower porting picks it back up. (doubtfull)

You ordered the right one. I'am at 16psi boost. and running 01' mustang stock camshafts. 2004 Gt-40 rods and pistons. I also up graded my wiring to 12gauge to the pump. I just made 13MPG on a 300mile trip. Not bad
