Look how uneven the top lip is. He said he couldn't use a dremel as it would run away. Not sure if you can see how off center it is. Like a quarter inch.

um wow, I honestly have no idea why he did it that way. what surround kit did they use? it does sit rediculously high. I am scared what the inside trim out looks like.

Can you give us the name of this place so we know to stay away? Taking it to an audio shop should yield much better results than that. It looks like he cut the dash with his teeth. Anyone who is worth anything in the car audio industry knows how to use a dremel. I would not be satisfied until they replaced the dash trim they cut and refunded my money so I could take it to someone who knows what they are doing.

Name of the place is;

Reed Audio in Glen Rock, NJ. The owner did all the work, Reed is is name. He has 25 years in the business. WTF, wow. I spoke to him and was leaving on vacation which I am on now until August 10th. I told him I he needed to correct this when I get back.

He had a bad attitude about the whole thing. Then I started to go off on him a bit, he calmed down. Great customer service huh.

Just like everyone else said, it's very minor trimming. And if it offcenter it seems like a problem with the install kit. When I did mine I needed to trim the black plastic behind the front removable bezel and ended up not even using and install kit since the guy sold me the wrong one. I just secured the metal headunit sleeve into the black dash support and it worked out perfectly

The owner, who did the install wants to try to make it right. I am a bit nervous about letting him back in to do anything. I am wondering now what it looks like behind the front dash bazel. I hope he did not damage anything back there. I have never looked in and did not want to pull the bezel off before vacation. Can the parts back there be replaced? I know I can get another outsdie trim bezel on ebay.

Give him a chance...dude who did it may not have been the best guy...and word of mouth kills business...if its not good after the owner does it then put them on blast...

I guess, but...He was such an azz to me on the phone. I reallly was trying to work it out. He started saying how I am wrong, it can't be done on and on with a real attitude. I said nice customer service. I will go see him when I get back but again. Just real nervous about letting him back in.
