Just noticed on the rear plastic trim where the backup sensors are there appears to be some fade. I ran it through the wash yesterday but didn't wipe it down like I normally do after a wash and there's some areas that look faded. I just washed it to get the salt off. I'm gonna wash it after work and wipe it down like usual so maybe that will help. But I've read that plastic trim can eventually start to fade. Any easy way to restore it if that starts happening? Thanks!

there have been many threads over the years for this problem... some use "over the counter" cleaners like mothers back to black or similar products... and many have resorted to painting them....

Welcome to the club. I'm gonna shoot mine with some spray bedliner for a little durability.

The best product I found for the faded trim is by Eagle One.....Nano Wax GEL made just for trim I use it on mine and works great only downfall is that it is only temp fix to you need to apply again.

pops has an 03 with a terribly faded hood and roof... looks awful
my 97 on the other hand does have some fade on the roof and a couple little rusty spots that need taking care of on the roof (its so high up there who cares? lol) but his is way worse than mine.
Due to the scratches all over the pass. side mirror, scrapes on the trim, and a few other love scratches on the passenger side I think my truck was garaged though... who knows
