Depends on how good you are and what problems you run into changing the plugs and I think a wee bit of luck helps could be anywhere between an hour to a days work

agree on them not being vacuum lines they are pressure lines to measure the differential pressure from the exhaust to the EGR valve That is also why it helps to clean out the exhaust ports in the throttle body

I just finished the spark plugs... 6hr job! I'm so glad that nightmare is over, im going to go for a drive in a bit to see what the plugs are like... I went around the block after I finished and the first thing that came to mind was wow!!

It's Like a brand new truck! It runs so much better now... And I was also surprised to find that the original spark plugs were still in the truck!! 340,000kms and the plugs were still going. I was shocked to see how bad shape the plugs are in. I'll take some pics of the plugs in a minute and post them up

LOL! I bought the truck in September and finally got around to changing the plugs... I was surprised the previous owners never changed the plugs ever, but at least it's done

Went for a short 30 minute drive, I cut those 2 lines that were cracked at the cracks and re connected them, and zip tied them as a temp fix until I get new lines, so far I haven't thrown any codes and the truck runs much better, I spun out acpl times when I left because it's so slippery out and I wasn't used to the feel of the gas pedal, there's a nice jump in power, and the volant intake is much more pronounced, I'm pretty happy and I'm glad I did it myself instead of being lazy and paying someone.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the code situation is over!! Thanks everyone for the input

I have to bring this thread back from the dead unfortunately because my truck never did stop throwing the same codes, so I picked up a felpro intake manifold gasket kit today I'm going to put it in tomorrow and see what happens... Im sure that this is the fix, so far Ive tried changing the fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR , BUT I WASHED THE ENGINE BAY THE FIRST TIME I EVER DROVE IT AND THE ENGINE WAS HOT SO I WArped The gasket, it's been throwing codes ever since the first day I got it and washed the bay....

I learned my lesson never wash a Ford engine bay lol. Or at jest wait till the engine cools off.. uploadfromtaptalk1390864275522.jpg

Well the expedition is finally running properly after almost 6 months of owning it... It threw a code for coil pack #8 not working, so I bought a new coil pack and now it runs awesome! For 6 months it ran on 7 cylinders, was running rough, bogging, sputtering, hesitating and just running like crap. Now it's idling perfectly and it's so smooth and got tons of power, and I'm finally feeling what the volant cold air intake is supposed to do for the expy, and it sounds awesome! I love my expy more then ever now!
