So I'm trying to swap 99 heated seats into my 99 E.B. that has every option but heated seats. I'm trying to bench test them first and I've come across a few issues.

Bottom pad has continuity between the yellow wires but not the two blk/red stripe wires. There was this little diode or something in the heating pad so i removed it and tested the wires together and then I got continuity. What is that little round thing?

What wires powers the seat? I'm assuming the red/blk stripe wire in the plug with 3 wires. Black goes to ground but what about the wht/lt blue stripe wire? What dies it do?

So I put power to the red/blk and grounded the black wire and I get nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Tore both front seats a part. Drivers side needed a lower pad and module and the passenger side needs a module. Are these modules sensitive? My gf used the passenger side heater and it was on for maybe 20min during the ride to my sisters house. Left my sisters a few hours later and the heat doesn't work now. These seat are frustrating...

I'm getting used modules off e-bay. I cant stomach spending over $100 for a new one.

Went out and hit the heater button on the seat and it worked. I rechecked all the connectors and they seemed intact to me. I guess I'll wait until it stop working again.

Did some reading on a F150 forum, they seem to think the seat module is also a timer with a preset value of 10 minutes. I'd suggest seeing if they cut off at a set time to verify. No one has posted a work around to change the amount of time. The other possibility is that the thermistor opens the circuit and resets after it cools off.
