Please Help!

My gauge fuse #18 keeps blowing in my 99 expy 5.4L. Auto parts guy thinks it may be the actual light switch assembly. any ideas? this just happened when i got in my truck after work. i replaced the fuse and it blows immediately. any help is appreciated.

It sounds to me that you have a short in the wiring for that component that is causing the fuse to blow.

Any idea how I can determine where the short is?
