Please help

I have a 2006 king ranch with the 5.4L. Every time I connect the starter to the battery and try to start the vehicle the main fuse blows. The shady garage it was taken to before I got the vehicle replaced the fuse box and they starter they claim. But the issue still happens. The wiring looks horrific. Any advice where I should start on fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated

So the main fuse doesn't blow until you turn the key to START right ?

If you don't know how to work on cars you're probably gonna have to take it to a more reputable shop and have it looked at.

Disconnect the power wire to the starter to determine if the starter or its cable is the cause.
