I need to install a fairly significant inverter inside my '17 Expy. Looking at several 2000W sine-wave units. The hope is to have it either mounted to the floor under one of the rear seats or possibly inside the rear cargo walls in front of a rear wheel well. Has anyone run 6 gauge cable or similar from the engine compartment thru the firewall? Anyone else running a large inverter?

6 gauge isnt big enough for a 2000 watt inverter. 2000w divided by 12v(14.4 running)= 166 amps(138 amps), Id run a minimum of 2 gauge... As for running it, there is a "service hole" in the firewall with a 1.5" hole near the Master Cylinder.
