Hi all, I have an '06 expedition and the power outlets are not working in the console front or rear. The outlet on top where the lighter would normally go does work and the one in the cargo area works. I have checked the fuses so it's not that and I don't know where to go from there. Is there some sort of plug or fuse or something in the console itself or in the outlet? Any ideas are appreciated!

if you dont mind putting in a little work, pop off the top of the console. Switch the wires from the working outlet to one of the dead outlets. If the formerly dead outlet works, the problem is somewhere in the wiring system and as you will be able to see, tracing down the problem will be tough as the wires very quickly are bunched together and finding the 2 single wires you need will not be easy.

If the problem is in the wiring, you can splice a jumper from the working outlet to the other two.

If the problem is in the outlets themselves, they are simple to replace.

i have the same model 03. if you lift the rubber mat in the console there is one 7 mm bolt, then you open the console and just use a little force to pop up the console top piece. you should then be able to get to both of the cig lighters from there. and if you cant obviously see anything, i would do like he said and just splice into the working one, but make sure you disconnect the old wires from the non working lighters. but before you do that, see if you are missing gnd or power. you probrably only need to splice one of them.
