Power steering concern

I already looked for my amswer and couldn't find anything. I have an 07 xlt with no manual, when I bought it I changed most of the fluids, and when I replaced the power steering fluid I put in the universal stuff. All other vehicles I've had took it but I recently found out that I was supposed to put mercon v in there. Should I be concerned and what might happen since this has been running in my expy for about 10,000 miles?
