Well, I need to generate more traffic here. If you guys could spread the word that would be nice.

One of the problems may be that there are hardly any problems with an Expedition since they first came out in 1997. Whereas the explorer came out in 1991 ( I think)...a lot of traffic generated is technical/mechanical problems/repairs...as these great SUVs get older, you'll probably see more traffic...Guy(NH)

pretty slow

not really.....
there are - unfortunately lots of problems with Expys - the difference between Explorer and Expys is the demographics.
Overall Expy owners are more likely to spent the money and get the problem fixed than to seek advice on a bulletin board. Do not forget that this is not a $10000 car, so people who have the money to shell out to buy and maintain such a truck do not have much time to spent looking for tips on the web.....

Einstein:

My Explorer had a sticker price of over $33k in 2000. That's for a 2WD/ XLT. 4WD Limitedss were knockin on $40k for the same year.

People choose Explorers because they want a different package, not because of $$$.....The vehicles are very close in price. Hell - Expeds are probably cheaper because the demand for them is lower....Now go "spent" [sic] your money on some mods.

tard, re. 1ea.

well,
some people took my reply totally out of context.
See the comment posted by "01 expedition" and then read again.
If you do not understand, take some courses at a community college.
Anyway, this site is called "expedition forum" and I see some funny postings by Explorer owners.... Check paragraph 1 again.

What I want to know is why id there Explorer vs. Expedition bashing going on? Is everyone an idiot? If it were Durango or Suburban bashing, I can kinda see the conflict, but Ex vs. Ex?

Come on guys, isn't there enough arguning with the tree-huggers and the Chevy/Dodge boys?

Let's get our heads out of our ***** and get smart here.

Personally I love th Expedition. It's just the Explorer's big brother (not much, but it is bigger).

And as to the Expedition costing more, it doesn't really cost that much more, but it does sell to a demographic that is more wealthy than Explorer owners. Of course there are always exceptions.

Now here is alittle dancing man for you.

Ouch! That really hurt!!!

But - Very Good.

No grammar mistakes in this message (like the non-paragraph that is in the first line of the quasi-message that you so eloquently refer to).

BTW - I have to finish my welding classes, then I have to take "mommy and me" classes, then I'll apply to community college.
Soon, I can get a good job and I'll have a double wide, maybe in the same park as you, huh?

Wow the site has been up over a week and finally a fight. This has got to be a record for the internet. In the words of the honorable Rodney King "Can't we all just get along"

BTW Expeditions are way cooler then Explorers! :D

You know why it's slow?

Go search on 'ford expedition' and 'ford expedition forum' @ Google, tell me what you see. Take some tips from the web pros out there to get youself some publicity. Other than that, get a sponser with about 20 or so pop-ups, that'll really draw them!

Wow,

I intended for this site to be friendly to all users. However, I will not get involved in this fight. I just hope you guys find a civil and rational solution to your disagreement.

No pop ups here EVER !

I think its slow because we have only been up a couple of weeks and the search engines still have not done their job yet. Lets see what happens in another month or two.

None the less, I am glad you guys are here :) and are

:)

Maybe I should create a spam/duke it out forum.

I actually did register for that post, but for some reason, I didn't see the log-in info at the top of the reply thing and so it just went in as unregistered :)

I like Expeditions, it's just that my Explorer fits my needs right now.

Do you have this problem? I quite often mistake the new 2003+ Explorers and Expeditions. Parked next together I can tell, but when I just see one... it's tough!

I agree. Ford made them all look the same. They should try to give them their own identity, but still look they belong to the fine Ford truck family.

Hello and good luck with your forum! I love Expeditions!!!

We have a '96 _Explorer_ Limited and it has been a great, great car for my wife,
who has never had a problem with it and can drive through big snowbanks in 4WD Low. Nice truck. Beautiful, too.

However, I have rented _Expeditions_ for personal use a few times, and think they are really much better vehicles.
They FLY down the highway and bounce over dirt piles, without straining.
I prefer to avoid the Eddie Bauer (tires are too bouncy for me), but the 'regular' model with the big V8 is just grrrrrreat!!!!!

Again, good luck with this forum. Expeditions are the best!

I hope things pick up around here. The last few times I've logged in I've felt like Tom Hanks in that desert island movie.
