At idle, are the purge valves supposed to be completely closed or slightly open on our trucks? Mine is an '04 5.4 but the unit should be the same on the 4.6, the Navigator 32V engines.
I thought these were supposed to be closed completely at idle but I hear a whistle at idle that stops when I unplug the valve. It's brand new, hoses are new, no codes. Still on the hunt for a small vacuum leak and was trying to rule out unmetered air from this valve.
Can anyone confirm?
