HI, great to find this forum...

Have and love my camping vehicle: a 1997 expy ebauer 5.4 with four corner airbags and 4wd...leaked, suncore industries, tried to fix, finally bought monroe kit (front struts, rear shocks, rear coils) for around 280.00 (been running procomp 33x12.5x17 procomp steel wheels since before conversion with airbags, hardly any rubbing drivers wheel when full crank only in reverse)

been owner since 36,000 (183,000 current) no real problems, running synthetic Rotella since 36k

Question: has anyone used the daystar rear coil spacers (either 1 inch or 1.75) AND the coilrite blue airbags (in the rear coil)? Also, are the Ebay aluminum rear coil spacers good to use?

Reason: after conversion, the front is higher significantly (but I like), and the coils are lower, about 1-1.5 inches in the wheel well...

if someone has used both the spacer and the coil rite for towing, which is best to install first? (guessing spacer first?)

Jeeze, now that there is a forum, another question please? Anyone use the coilover progressive REAR shocks? I also like the 9000s...

Thanks a million!!! (If I had it to do over, nitto terra grapplers in 34x11.5x17 with lightest possible weight wheels (285x75x17, for more mileage, more diameter, lower rpm at cruise, and load E range all sound good))

jack, not to ask a silly question, but when you remove the rear air bags, did you upgrade the springs in the rear to the non-air bag springs? Why do I say this? Simple, the air bag springs are weaker springs than for the non-air bag setups (this is what allows the truck to kneel). So, yes, your truck will sit lower in the rear after removing the air bags if you did not upgrade the springs. Do some looking around and see if you can find the springs for a non-airbag Expy. Install those and see how the truck sits then. I bet you will find that it will level the truck out nicely.

I have the 2 inch ebay metal spacers in mine. No problems here. Had them in for 5 years or something like that.
