I am in the process of diagnosing a rear end squeak that started after I replaced the rear shocks a month ago. When I was rocking the car back and forth while up on the jack to pinpoint the noise, I noticed that I had a slight knock in the front of the diff housing when the hub was rotated. I had the emergency brake off to eliminate the squeak I get from that when engaged, so the wheel rotated back and forth slightly (maybe 10 degrees of rotation).
My question is 2 part. 1) Is the slight wheel rotation normal? and 2) Is the knock normal? My guess would be no to both, but want other's opinions on this. Thanks.

Anyone? The knock is when the wheel stops rotating. It may be when the driveshaft stops it's rotation and the gears knock. Any opinions?
