I read the post on the radio removal tool and I'll pick one up . . . the question I have is where are you putting the tool in to get the old radio out . . . . I want to replace the stock radio with a CD/Cassette unit (also OEM).

Thanks in advance

I just replaced the stock head unit yesterday with an aftermarket navigation headunit on my 2004 Expedition. The Ford "special" tool wasnt needed. I had to remove two screws on the dashboard by the gauge cluster, pull the dash trim off, then it was easy access to remove the two screws holding the radio in.

The 2003 and up expeditions are bolt in radios while 2002 and older are the clip in. If yours is 2002 or older the will be two holes one ach side of the radio. If it is 03 and up or you don't see the holes then you have a bolt in.
