When I accelerate from a stop and up through the top of 1st and bottom of 2nd gear, my truck makes a noticeable rattling sound. It sounds a lot like what a heat shield loose would sound like, but the aluminum ones above the pipe are tight and I removed the shields on my cats (not the best plan I know) to no avail. It gets bad right around 2500 rpms, and does not seem present once I am at speed, around 30 mph. Also it seems louder when I am driving from inside than standing outside listening to it drive by, but my glasspack exhaust probably masks it a bit. I have heard that the insides of the cats can be broken up, but I don't know what kind of noise that would produce. Any help would be much appreciated!
