Hey whats going on? I was refered to this site by lane24 (thanks Again) Anyways I bought a 98 4x4 eddie bauer expedition in the spring, i originally bought it to be a luxury plow truck to work alongside my other 2 trucks , all was perfect untill the last month, the rear drivers side of my ex is squatting like bigfoot in the bush, And now the passenger side is starting to do the same but not nearly as bad..... i never hear the compressor kick on anymore, I know air bags are just a big a$$ money pit so what i would really like to know is can i just rip out the air bags and swap in a set of coils? Will the springs need anything to keep them in or can i just dump the bags and simply pop in the springs and be over and done with it? And no i didn not end up using her as a plow truck..... shes to nice.... other then the floorpan i had to cut out and weld in new under the drivers feet. Thanks in advance for any help on this subject..... and btw this forum looks awesome!:driver::favorites13:

Thanks man..... do you have to go with this conversion kit or can i just pull out the bags and replace with stock springs? I'd rather not buy the kit if i can just swap out? I guess what i'm asking is ... where the bag currently is mounted will the same mounts on the chassis and axle hold the coil spring in should i put a stock spring in or do you have to add what ever holds the spring in place?

Yeah ypu can just throw out the bags and throw in some coils... But once you do that it'll f up the front air ride and youll ride on just tbars, then youll crack them then youll need new ones. Just pay the 200 and get the kit. You have to have coils on all four corners anyway. So if u have air shicks in the front you cant just replace the rear
