I have a quick question. I am going to change my rear brake pads on my 99 Expedition and I noticed that the "hooks" or "slots" of the pads are at the top on the pads I am getting ready to pull off. When I searched on here I saw one thread where it said that the hooks should be at the bottom.

My question is do the pads have to go a certain way? I do not see where it would make much difference if the hooks were at the top or bottom but I want to make sure I put them on correctly.

I'm pretty sure the pads are completely reversible/universal. The way it "hooks" in is important when replacing the caliper, since it kind of rotates in place.
