Rear Climate Controls Not Working

I can get the rear AC and heat to work through Sync 3 - no problems there but the rear climate controls don't do anything. The lock out light is not turned on. Power appears to be to the controls because the knobs are lit. Rear seat heaters can be turned on and off from the controls. It seems just the fan knob doesn't do anything.

Time for a new rear climate control module or am I missing a setting on the dash somewhere?

Part of a knob was missing so I went ahead and replaced the controls anyway - now fully functional again. Rear controls work and lock out light works.

I bought a copy of the factory/workshop service manual which gave me the confidence to pull on the right parts in the right directions.

1. Pull up on the rear console cup holders - held on by four large clips
2. Remove two hex head bolts on either side
3. Pull rear panel of console backwards
4. Unplug climate control module
5. Remove four Torx screws and remove

Installation is reverse.
