Rear strut change

Was trying to change the rear struts on my 07 limited today and I could not get the adjustment link rod off, does it need to be pressed off?

Any help would be great.

Its a tapered fit. Usually the best thing is to solidly hit the side of the knuckle that the tie rod goes into with a hammer. Put the nut back on it one or two threads to keep it from swinging down and damaging anything. Usually one or two solid smaks will get it loose.

+1 like jimb726... Just get a BFH and pound it.. May want to PB blaster it before hand..
