Hey guys, i just bought a 99 EB Edition. I'm looking to do some stereo work on her. There is the empty pocket just in front of the jack storage. Is this the best place to do a clean sub? I want to keep the rear cargo area open so if anyone can give me ideas that would be cool. The drivers side, behind the panel has tons of hoses looking like ac lines or something. Thanks again

yes that is the stock location of the factory sub. you having an EB im surprized you dont have a factory sub there. MTX makes a kit to go there with a 10" sub or you can build your own or even get one from a junkyard i have a polk 8" with the factory amp pushing it. sounds good but getting ready to put 2 12" kickers behind the third row with 1000 watts to get alittle more bass

i got 2-10s in a small box that fits behind my 3rd row seat but usually I take that seat out and put it behind 2nd seat and still tons of space

you can also find in another thread on here, there is a box that fits under your 2nd row. only drawback is you cant fold the seats down when the subs are in there but it beats putting them in the cargo area in my opinion. i took my 3rd row out cuz i am always throwing stuff in the cargo area. not an ideal place for box/subs for me.

thank you guys so much for the info. I love these forums, and better yet, when the people are actually cool and willing to talk to you. I had a Mustang GT a while back and joined a forum, lots of people on there just seemed to be unwilling to share info and more about the races they got into and mods they did. It was a whole different vibe. Anyway, thanks again all.

woo sry about the sizes. dont remember how to resize them on photobucket. ill figure that out when im not to tired. remodeling upstairs. and sry for the quality. from my phone. but the amp fits perfect right there. and the wiring is kind of bad, but my 10 gauge speaker wire isnt long enough for me to mount it all pretty like the power ground and turn on wire. but it works for me. and yes the box is on old skate wheels cause it levels it out perfect cause of that 3rd row thing to get that seat out. and its bungee corded down cause if u can read my plate frame i dont want it sliding around everywhere. o and like my pvc port? cost me $1.50 to put on. haha and it works.
if there any questions regarding the inside of my expedition or how or why i wierd it the way i did i will happily answer them.

I have a 97 Expy and I have utilized the spot where the original 8" mach sub went. I kept the enclosure in there and replaced the amp and also took out the harness to the factory amp. Im running a 300 watt amp with a 600 watt Lanzar 8" sub. It hits pretty good and with the factory speakers and HD radio deck I get pretty good sound. Even with my satellite radio even hits pretty hard. I hard wired my satellite radio from the IC chip inside the cig lighter adapter so it will be 5v instead of running 12v.

Subwoofer spot:

My stereo

Hello all,
New here but looks like a good place to get some information. I have a 2006 XLT with all the options. I am going to replace the radio because my CD player does not work in the winter. Anyway, I am really wondering if I can fit a 12" in the sub spot in the back? I would like to put it and an 800 watt sub under the seat to go with. Really liked the pics of the amp.

Hi Panda24619,
Can you please provide the actual size of your subwooder enclosure? I'm trying to put a dual enclosure on the back of the 3rd row and trying to check if there is enough space there. Does any of you know where can I get a dual enclosure for 2 10inch subwoofers for my Expy? 02 EB 2WD.

Thanks in advance
