I agree. I have a 2015 Ford Expedtion 4x4 and the controls for the rear HVAC system must be accesssed by MULTIPLE finger jabs on the touchscreen. It is VERY poorly designed.

The Expedition replaced a Dodge Durango SLT, that also had rear HVAC. The front seat controls for the rear HVAC system were VERY easy to use. They were easy to see and understand at a glance, and operated with large knobs that turned (and could be used with gloves in the winter).

I blame most of the complicated controls on younger engineers that think everything must be controlled by a complicated and hard to understand computer screen.

on my old X5 you could even control it from the front and I had 4-Zone climate control, this is a huge improvement for me.
