Hey guys, inspecting the undercarriage of my Expy, and noticed there is not much clearance between the bump stop and lift kit.

Do you guys remove them, or leave them alone?

Leave them, you don't want those metal surfaces banging together. Remember, because of the angle, an inch or two at the bump stop means 4" at the wheel.

Considering the fact that if you max out to the stop the tire will likely travel upward about 4-5", my guess is it'd be safest to leave it alone. Some others may chime in that may have altered or removed, but with the risk of damaging steering components or CV joints, the most I'd do is possibly shave it down to gain more clearance.

If you'd be willing to, I'd park a front tire on a rock or something to max it out on the stop as it stands, then assess clearances all around and see if it'd even benefit you to alter the stop at all without wheelwell clearance issues. Good luck, and remember your CV angles are a necessary consideration and cannot be ignored.

Didn't think about the CV angles or issues with rubbing in the wheel well. Thanks for the input guys! I will leave them alone.
