removing stero

Anyone know how to remove a 04 EXP factory stero? My CD player is no longer working and would like to replace it.

I'm pretty sure you need a 5 dollar tool that goes into the four holes on the sides of the deck. Buy the tool, its not worth the time trying to makeshift something to get it out, especially if whatever you use breaks in there.

Nope, that's only on the 97-02 Expeditions. On the 03-06's you have to remove the plastic that goes around the radio.
It goes around the dash cluster as well, so you will probably have to remove the plastic on the steering column that goes around the gear shifter.
Once that is off, you need to remove the screws holding the radio in. Pretty easy.

Thanks for the info, I did'nt think mine had the traditional holes in the corners like most ford radios.
