I have a 2001 EB with a factory VCR and overhead screen. Is there a DVD player that will work with the existing system?

It depends on what you mean by "Work". I had to cut into the old harness and splice the video lines together. Also I used a DVD head unit so I had to run a wire back from the dash to the console. It can be done.

I was thinking more of a direct replacement for the VCR. Was it difficult figuring out the wiring?

nope, not hard. If you look at the harness the video wire is the biggest one.

Hey Hardlife, I am looking at doing the same thing. You said that you had to splice into the vidoe cable. What about audio, power, etc? It would seem to me that I would need to tap into all of those. Is that what you did?

That was my exact response when I saw it too. But we had a few VHS's lying around and it was no big deal. But now, it is time to upgrade. I just need some tips on the best way to do it.
