I was wondering if anyone has replaced their turn signal/winshield wiper stalk?

I have a 97 and the intermittent wipers wipe randomly, the washer fluid only works if I mash the hell out of the button, and the high beams don't flash when I pull it back like they used to.

Is this an easy replacement?

Did mine last week

Right brake light failure in the switch...Tried to go OE but the "Discount Ford Parts "on line store dropped the ball... I had to go with the "Duralast".. lifetime warranty.. 80 bucks... not a tough job...

did mine awhile ago and forget the details but remember it being real easy, a few screws/bolts for the bottom steering wheel cover gives access..

also just remembering unscrewing the tilt steering lever

was able to move the top cover out of the way (lifting up on the left side) so didn't have to remove the key switch, or figure it out

Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder (11582).
Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch lock cylinder and turn to the RUN position.
Insert a punch in the access hole of the steering column and press the release tab while pushing out the ignition switch lock cylinder.

I replaced my MFS a while back, just (re)moved the top and bottom covers as I could and had no problems.

Did not bother removing the ignition switch.
