Replacement Side Mirror

The Expedition was sideswiped and my driver mirror is completely shattered. It’s just dangling. All the parts inside are broken off and not repairable. Ford parts quoted me $588 for just the part. I saw some similar for around $260 elsewhere but they looked decidedly Knockoffish. Normally I don’t have an issue finding parts here I am, any suggestions on where to look?

Junk yard would be your best option in my opinion.

You didn't post year/ model. But yeah, eBay, wrecking yard, or bite the bullet and order from one of the Ford oem parts sites on internet. Our guys post them here all the time. Look into 2nd generation expedition column, if not on 3rd section.

I bought a used one on ebay. No issues.

Buy used from somebody who got tow mirrors

If you go junkyard, might as well get gator mirrors, the integrated fisheye is a nice touch

Or just get tow mirrors yourself

Specify which trim level, some members might be able to hook you up... Turn signals or not? XLT/SSV black or color matched?

If color matched you might consider going with chrome caps or half caps so you don't have to hunt down one off a matching donor
