RES question

Hello everyone. We just got our first Exp and still learning ins and outs.
It came with Rear Entertainment System which I'm not 100% it operates correctly. From what I read up, I understand that the left side is the brain and the right side is just a screen.
Whenever we turn on the LEFT side, it comes on, no issues with push of a button. The RIGHT side however is not like that. Is there a sequence to turn them ON? If I turn on the RIGHT side after driving a while, no problem then other side, no problem. I turn OFF the LEFT side then right side stays ON but can not do anything, the buttons are not lid up and even with remote can not do anything. If I turn on the LEFT side and immediately RIGHT side, both come on, left operates good, RIGHT comes on but can not move anything.
What the deuce?

Behind the screen there is a little coaxial cable that sometimes come undone and further down the back of the seat also it's a warranty item if the vehicle is still under warranty, most of the time they just come loose

I have had both have the issue but mostly the right side

Has anyone updated their RES? Under settings it has an option for an update, however no software version or anything

That I don't know I got my expy with out that and install a roof mounted DVD player. I didn't care about a sunroof and also didn't want to deal with the issues with the headrest DVD players since I work for ford

I spoke with Vox support at length and there's no update. I just got the runaround. It was escalated and a manager was supposed to follow up with engineering.... Nothing.... please post back if you get an update.
