Here's the OEM Wiring Diagram:

2012 Expy Headlamp Switch.jpg

Here's the same diagram that I modified to get what you want accomplished:

1) Tap into the Blue/Gray wire Park Lamp - run a split wire to pin 85 & pin 87
2) Cut the fog lamp wire behind the headlamp switch - Connect the end hanging from the switch to pin 87A, Connect the other end (harness side) to pin 30.
3) Find a 12V wire source that is hot in start or run, wire a on-off rocker switch inline - and hook it up to pin 86

With this setup you can still use the OEM Fog switch. When you turn the park lamps on, the fogs won't come on automatically but the extra switch you add will allow you to turn them on/off w/ park lamps.

Hmmm. My 04 and 16 you can turn on the fog lamps while the parking lamps are on via the normal switch..... coming on with only the headlights defeats the purpose of fog lamps.
My 2013 works this way. Park lights and fogs. I have done nothing to it. It just works.

Same here. As I stated earlier in this post, I want the fogs to stay on even with high beams on. I would imagine your Expedition is like mine in that when you flip to high beams, the fogs turn off. I want them to stay on to light up the road and sides of the road right in front of me where the highs don't illuminate.

I want to do this to my 2014. Did you end up doing this successfully? Do you have any pics or links to parts you used or where these wires are located? I can follow directions well but just don’t know if I could find everything on my own to get started.

I had originally been looking at a way to do it with Forscan, but unfortunately couldn't find anything for my year (2013). There don't seem to be good spreadsheets with coding for Expeditions till after 2015 or so.

So what I did was buy pigtails (I think I got them on Amazon or Ebay) to plug into my fog lights (I unplugged the factory wiring so it could be hooked back up later if I wanted to change it, and so I wasn't cutting into factory wiring), and wired them to a relay under the hood (mounted the relay between the battery and power distribution box). Then I powered the relay with a wire from the positive on the battery, and wired the trigger pin (the one that turns the relay on or makes the main power connection) to a fuse in the power distribution box (which in my Expy is in the engine bay directly above the radiator). I wired it to a fuse that comes on when the key is turned on. So what that does is turns my fog lights on as soon as I turn my key front and therefore accomplishes what I wanted, which is to have my fogs on all the time - whether my lows or high beams are on. It really helps with lighting up the road at night when high beams are on, as it gives light close to the Expy and out the sides that normally isn't there with high beams on.

I don't remember if I wired the negative wire for the fogs to the battery or to a ground on the vehicle, but it would need one of those done. It's late and cold outside (6 degrees right now) so I don't feel like going outside to look at how I did it. This is all from memory, as it's been a while since I set this all up. I'm pretty sure I also have a fuse in the main power coming off the battery to protect all the wiring between there and the fogs.

Hope this helps you out! If you have any questions, I'll be glad to help answer them if I can.

Do you have a link to those pigtails? I’m not sure I know what those are. And based on how you wired it, it sounds like the only way your fogs are off is if the truck is off, is that correct? I may rather want them connected to the parking lights so I can still turn them off if I want. And when it warms up if you have any pics you could share to help me with this, that would be awesome.

I can't find my order, but these are some that would fit my Expedition. https://a.co/d/hfPpTFY You can filter with your year Expedition, but I would think the 2013 and 2014 would be the same.

If you want them to come on with parking lights, just splice into the hot wire by one of your parking lights, and wire that to the pin on the relay that turns the relay on. I don't know which pins on a relay are for what. I had to look it up when I wired mine, but you can look up a relay diagram to see what pin (they are numbered) is supposed to have what wire going to it.

I may be able to get some pics tomorrow. I'll be out shoveling snow anyway, so if I remember, I'll try to get some pics for you.
