ugh, parked outside, we've had a bunch of inches of rain recently, and I noted today my right tail light assembly is all fogged inside. this is the very expensive Stealth version of the circa 2019 LED tail light.

i know eventually I'll need to replace it when this moisture corrodes internal connections, and I know its $1200-1500 (I've crunched the left tail light backing up my trailer and getting a little too jacknifed)

If/when I replace it again, any ideas for improving the waterproofing ? Maybe going over the seams with thin silicone sealant such as Permatex Flowable Silicone Windshield & Glass Sealer ?

If I were here, you would know it !
You will want to make sure that whatever sealant you choose is compatible with the foam/rubber/plastic gaskets that installed on the new light fixture. Otherwise your problem will get worse, not better, as the curing compounds in the sealant could cause the gaskets to weaken or break down prematurely, which would of course void the mfgr's warranty too :(

Permatex products are generally well-regarded in the automotive industry, so that may be on the right path there, but better to check first before using it..

Yup - and ford claims this is not a warranty issue, I get many, many droplets inside my rear taillights.
