Runs short distance then stutters.

Help. I have a 2004 Expedition 4.6. Changed to computer, fuse block & fuel pump. Car runs great @ idle, drive about 1/2 mile & starts to stutter & sometimes dies. Fires right back up, drive a short time then stutter again. No codes showing. Please help.

Test the catalytic converter. Connect a vacuum gauge to the intake then put it in drive and hold the brakes and slowly accelerate. If it starts out sounding okay but then slowly loses vacuum and power that could be your problem. It’s a pretty easy test to do.
