The only thing that removes varnish is from the Keytone family of solvents. Seafoam contains none of the Keytones. Want to remove varnish, use Berrymans B12. Seafoam contains zero cleaners, it's a 20 viscosity pale(light) oil, naptha, and Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. If you can find pharmaceutical grade alcohol at 90%, mixed with ATF and a splash of naptha, you just made a far better cleaner than Seafoam ever could be. At least the ATF brings cleaners to the mix.

He may have a point but I always use Seafoam sucked in by a vacuum line. The idea is to remove carbon from the valves and upper intake. (that's when you get a ton of smoke)

If I'm concerned about varnish in the fuel system, I use a regular fuel injector cleaner.

I still can't bring myself to put Seafoam in the oil, though.

from seafoam website:

You can leave Sea Foam® in the oil indefinitely as long as the oil is clean. The addition of a high-detergent oil like Sea Foam® may cause the oil to become dirty faster than normal as buildup oil residue and contamination are cleaned. Check the oil at regular intervals and when it gets dirty, change it.

Which line? any chance of a pic? I'd like to burn the bottle on my counter that way... Rather than thru the tank.

___

{edit} found on the other site... put into the rubber tube connected to the master cylinder housing? I would have never guessed that one... Is that right?

ummm... a lot have just gone on with their lives and stoped posting stuff and a lot are rebels and havent come over her. some of the threads over there talk about it. i mean theres still great info over there, but with all the spam and slowness it kind of died.

but im going to do that with my sea foam. CHECK your orielys. theres still a sale at the one by my house. been like that for a month. by 2 cans for $9.99 get the 3rd free. a good deal in my eyes. so i bought 3. just gonna wait for my dad to come home from vegas and see when he wants to do the oil changes and ill dump mine in the oil and gas and vacuum lines and see if that helps anything. im losing miles some where. went from 300 a tank to now barely 270. shes sitting in the driveway starving for gas. haha

it might be lead foot, but also most likely im not doing as many freeway miles. usually just around town now. and the fact that i take a long hill home that might not help either. haha

but i need to do this. waiting for a buddy to get time off so he can keep the rpms steady.
