Just let them dry for a few hours, then apply some kind of protectant, like Armour-All, McGuires Leather Guard, or something similar, to help keep 'em stay more cleaner a bit longer....
If cloth, then nothing beats a good, powerful vacuum, followed by a foaming cleaner, then a cloth towel wipe down, let them dry for an hour or so, followed by a treatment with Scotch Guard or something similar....
