I was told about seat filters for my A/C seats. A buddy told me my seats might blow harder if I replace the filter. Any idea what he is talking about? Or how to change them?

I tried quick google searches. It pulled up Cabin air filters, filters on 2011 Expys, filters on King Range F350s etc. Nothing specifically for my body style Expy. That's why I was hoping someone on here, who has done it before could help.

I just meant it might be a good place to look for a filter? I would guess Ford would make the systems similar for cost reasons, and therefore the filters may be in the same or similar location. I just figured no one else had responded so I would try and jump start the conversation. Best of luck.

EDIT: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/967515-air-conditioned-seats.html

From what I have read, it is possible there is no filter in the system in the first place. Hence the reason there are no replacement filters on the market that I can find.

I thought I saw something in the book about the seat filters. Something like moving the seats all the way forward to get to them from the second row.

On my 07 you can get to them from the second row. They are on the bottom of the front seats. Easy to see with a flash light. I've got 117k on my Expedition and the filters still looked clean. About 3-4" diameter. Just twist the frame of the filter clockwise or counterclockwise until it pops out. Takes like 30 seconds.

I found it guys. Thanks. 3in square filters. CLEAN. No issues whatsoever to get to or to change. I was hoping they would be dirty and the seat would move more air when I replaced them. Oh well
