Anyone know of a service manual that I can download from the net? (1997)

I ended up buying a chiltons from amazon.

As I recall, Chiltons is way better than Haynes..... correct me if I'm incorrect.
FYI - I found the service manual on CD on Ebay HERE

I like Haynes better because they have more/better illustrations.

Illustrations are nice but which is more accurate? I was thinking that Haynes has a lot of info either missing or inaccurate..... Maybe its best to get all three!

jrjr, do some looking around. There used to be Ford Service Manuals online that you could download the whole CD (around 350MB). Then you could burn the image on to a disk and from there, install it into your computer. The only "down" side to this is that it requires you to use a 32bit OS. Stepping up to a 64 bit one leads to lots of headaches.

If you are interested in a 98 service CD, let me know.

I have the Ford Service Manual for my 1997 Ford Expedition. I think it is better than Cheltons or the Haynes. The factory manuals have better pictures and a flow chart the helps with Diagnostics.

I know this is an older post, but I need a manual. Med is ur manual just 97? Or 97 and up?
