Another thread is talking about the Trans Go shift kits , wondering if putting one in mine along with the EDGE reprogramming would it cause any issues ?

A shift kit is preferable to a line pressure increase via a handheld tuner. It actually will help reduce tranny wear as the internal clutch/plate will have less slippage. It reduces the duration of the shift so they don't feel like mush. It will usually give you a nice snap in the shifts though. If your wife/girlfriend rides in the vehicle a lot, you might get a few comments how hard/jerky the shifts are.
A line pressure increase actually increases tranny wear, so I would advise against that if you have a higher mileage vehicle.
Do a search for Gregg Evans and read some of his work on the subject. He is the Ford transmission guru and suggests a shift kit (replacement of the shift plate/body) for a longer lasting tranny.

Interesting read on the Trans and Gregg Evans , good call.
I think it may be time to invest into some Trans goodies. Better cooler , Bigger pan, filter and shift kit. Has anyone here actuallty done any of this?

Heres the pan I bought at half the price of the expensive aluminum ones..was like 129.00, deep capacity, drain plug and cooling tubes as oppose fins...
