Shocks-Lower spring mounts

2017 Ford Expedition EL Limited with HD towing.

I want to install Bilstien 5100s but I want to make sure that the lower spring mounts on the stock suspension are removable. I was going order the mounts but it looks like they are not sold separately. Anyone know if they are removable?

I did go under the vehicle and it looks like from the bottom there are no welds but couldn't see the top of the spring mount.

There have been several posts on this forum regarding the spring mounts on the stock suspension for the 2015 - 2017 Expedition models, and the use of Bilstien shock absorbers.

I don’t have a link - but you may want to do a search. I recall some of the posts had pictures included.

Yes the lower spring mounts are removable I put bilstein's on my 06 Expedition Eddie Bauer and had to remove the spring to get to the mounts they're interchangeable they go on the new shocks not hard just need the right equipment
