Side mirrors adjustment issue

When adjusting the mirror it will not travel out (away from the vehicle). It will move up, down and in (toward the vehicle). Both mirrors have the same identical issue.

Any ideas?

Try pushing the mirror completely in or out and then try the switch I would first try pushing the completely out the use the switch to bring them in If that doesn't work then try the opposite way

I ended up replacing the remote mirror switch, took care of the problem. I posted a video of the repair.
