Hi everyone,

We just had a big snow dump of over 2ft and the Expe performed admirably. My question today is, is it normal for the power windows to go up really slowly? Going down is fine and quick, but going up is like pouring molasses. Both the driver and passenger side windows are slow. Is it a motor thing or is this by design. Thanks.

Mine have been like that for years especially the cold you hate cuz it’s not safe you wonder is it going to go up! It moved quick today it’s warmer 40 degrees. I went to dealership a couple years ago they lubed it up and stuff and I did have the drivers window motor replaced at once but in the end in the cold the front windows suck don’t know why though. Maybe someone else has a different experience.

Both my 2008 and 2019 had/have this issue.
I usually lube the list around the edges for the winter, so it slides better.

Try lubing the window channels with some silicone spray lube. At least that's what Scotty Kilmer recommends.

My 22 is slow in the cold and if the window has even a little bit of ice on it, it just doesn't work at all. I'm sure Ford went to a cheap worthless motor.
I have an 01 f350 and the widows are fast up and down and can break an inch of ice to get the window down.
