Sometimes wont go in first gear when stopped

Sometimes when i stop on red lights or stop signs or whatever the truck wont go down to first gear.. It will stay in second gear unless i drop to shifter to first gear, any idea what the problem could be, i got 2007 eddie bauer, automatic tranny 6speed. Thanks

Check the fluid level. If it is correct you might get lucky with a fluid & filter change, but it is a roll of the dice. Without putting gauges on the trans to check the line pressure, I would think a solenoid is sticking or has an electrical problem.

Mine does this too.. Same year and model 2007 EL eddie bower 4x4.

I think there is a TSB about it. Something about not shifting down when stopping. I have never looked into getting it done and have been just living with it.

Ok thanks for the info guys, i think ill just live with it like i have been because getting the solenoid is probly expensive as hell since they gotta open up the tranny i think on these ones.. i got my tranny serviced about a month ago and it didnt fix it, oh well
