I have done a lot of searching for which kit is the best but l have a few questions. I think I have narrowed my choices down to the poly urethane Daystar kit or the billet supreme suspension kit for my 2005 EX. I will be ordering at the end of February to install when we get warmer weather but I'm doing as much research as possible first.
My questions are:
1) What is the better material poly or billet. Daystar boasts less NVH but supreme boasts strength.
2) Is there any issues with control arms contacting other parts at full droop?
3) To fit a 35” tire will a 3.5” front and 2” rear lift work without having to trim body parts?
4) Do brake lines need to be made longer?

I have a 2000 4.6L 4x2 with a 3.5 front spindle lift and 2' rear daystar poly spacers.

I clear 33's perfect.. 35's will probably rub a lil even with cutting and trimming.

I plan on lifting the front another inch or two :)

Oh, and i had no problems with control arms or brake lines.. But idk about a 05'

I got an 08 with the 3/2 level and I do get a knock on certain bumps from my upper control arm hitting. I fit 35's on mine but did have to remove the stock step bar and also a slight trim on the front bumper. Brake lines didn't need to be lengthened at all but per instructions the rears on the 3rd gens did call for a small relocation.

4.6, as for poly over aluminum, this is my thinking on the situation: the aluminum is a much more solid item than the poly, therefore when it comes to suspension stiffness, the aluminum is going to be better. The aluminum parts are not going to flex as much (everything compresses some when loaded), therefore will give a more solid feel to the truck. Now, am I saying that the poly ones are bad. By no means. They will do the job. But, if you are like me and use the vehicle as a truck, the aluminum pieces are going to handle the abuse better. But then, you are also looking at spending more money.

Are you talking about the ones with the triangle style mounts? I'm not sure about those because of the welds.

Have these on mine, Truxxx is the manufacturer. Been on for over a year, no issues. Same part # for the 05 if I remember correctly.

I'm with Thermo's school of thinking, metal/aluminum over poly

Any issues with control arm contact to anything? Is yours a 3.5 front and a 2" rear?

most are 3/2. supreme suspension is the only one i have seen with 3.5. i think im going with the steel "triangles" cuz the rear on the supreme suspension goes on the bottom of the spring.

Dib, if you have no issues with clunking or banging I think I will go with metal spacers. I think you guys are right about metal being stronger.

May/may not need new caster/camber keys after the install for alignment. I put them in mine just to be safe.

Guys I have 04 4x4 like y'all... Wanting to do some wheels with mud grapplers or something similar... Is the 3/2 lift very noticeable? Will I be happy with it? I am on a budget and that fits budget perfectly.

I think you would be happy with it. It gives the expy that more stout look. I absolutely love when I am able to park to another expy and just notice how much better it looks compared to stock, you almost have to wonder why Ford didn't sell them stock like that.
