I just did my 2001 with the 5.4 and they were a bugger to get at because of the rear heat. I was told that the original plugs have a 2 conductor tip to the electrode and that a 2-4 conductor plug as best for this application so I put in Bosch+4 and new boots with dielectric grease on both ends of the springs. No issues so far.
