Hey guys havent posted anything for a while, back air susp went so had to get them taken out and used springs put in. Anyways back to the question, I like the speakers in my expy but i want something better. I have subs in the back so thats not a problem got ample amount of bass, but i am thinking of component speakers. Can anyone on here share their knowledge about good brands or good speakers to get. How hard are they to install, what all is needed. I have never replaced my speakers before so first time doing this. Thanks guys its really appreciated. I see alot of expys on here with ALOT of stuff i want but working 2 or 3 days a week aint going to get me alot.

Since the door speakers are an odd size, you are kind of limited. But there are some decent one's out there.

A quick trip to crutchfield.com will give you an idea of what is out there.

I had some surface mounted tweeters on the inside door mirror covers, they really helped out with the highs.

I'm not exactly sure what sizes they offer, but Memphis Audio is about top of the line. I have a pair of 6.5's in my old 78. They are not on an amp, but easily could be, but still loud as hell and the best set of speakers I have ever had. I highly recomend Memphis......but they can be a bit pricey depending on dealer. I'm sure there are some on ebay.

I got Pioneers from Amazon

Hey there,

I recently replaced my Hecho e Mexico pieces of garbage with some Pioneer TSD6802R 6 X 8 2-Way 260 Watt Speakers. I am not an audiophile, but they sound great with my Kenwood HU and much better than the Ford "premium sound" speakers ever could have.

They are supposedly engineered for Ford and Mazda as OEM replacements. Mine were all installed and working in less than an hour.
