Hey,

I've been changing my front brakes on my '03 EB 2WD, and there was a spring right in the middle of the caliper, that slides in the side. Not the main retaining bar on the front, but a little spring that goes into it.

It came out, but I have no idea how it should go back in. Haynes, and the rest of the web are rather silent on it, short of saying to put it back how it came out. Well, it pinged out, and I have no idea how to put it back.

If you look at the link image, it's on the bottom right.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Alex

So, I was messing around and worked it out from the other side, after taking it off rather more carefully.

Just hooks onto the rear-pad, and bends back inside the caliper to supply pressure and stop it rattling.
