Every once in awhile I would get a slight sputtering if I was flooring the truck, but it only occurred in the upper rpm range.

But yesterday it rained for 4 - 5 hours hard, then it sputtered under a very slight acceleration. I am guessing a vacuum line, but I am unsure where to start looking.

I have a 2006 5.4L 3v if that helps, I have 90K miles. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, since were leaving on a road trip in a week :)

If it had anything to do with the rain I would say it is electrical but may be unrelated. Not sure if the 06's still have the cops or remotely located coils but they would be worth checking. Could be many other things....Mass air, egr, spark plugs, dirty injectors, fuel pump..etc..

Might be a good time for a tune up to eliminate a few possible sources.
New spark plugs, fuel, air, and oil filters.
