My 2000 5.4l starts fine, runs great... until it warms up a little after about 5 miles driving, begins to sputter and then stalls. If I let it sit for 10, i can start it again. Have checked all vaccuum lines, pvc, egr, mas, and replaced the fuel filter... can anyone help???

have checked everything on the net, haven't seen any similar problems occuring only when the engine warms up and cant figure anything vaccuum or fuel related that would be intermittent... unless the pump is overheating after a few mins??? please someone help me!!!

MAS, or O2 sensors. Could probably be a combo of both! But i have been told numerous times that it is most likely MAS.

My mom had a 99 Exploder with this problem.

too many people post problems, figure it out and never post a solution... here goes.. since the problem only happened when the truck heated up, I eliminated the MAS, although I did clean it... thought it might be the pcv but again, eliminated that... a friend told me the pump might be getting hot and not pumping when it heats up... BINGO... when pump was getting to normal operating temp, it would fail... thanks for all the help, hope this helps another Expedition lover...
