Starter problems again

So got into my expy. Started it up but my starter never stop spinning. Turned the key off and it was still going. Finally it stopped and smelt burning. Had it towed to the mechanic he replaced the starter because it was burnt up. Has anybody had this problem with their 2nd generation expy's.

Just talked to my mechanic. He replaced the starter but still doing the same thing. He is checking the relays to see if there is a short. Any help at this time would be appreciated.

Starter solenoid on the firewall is welded "closed". Need to change it and check starter amp draw and voltage at the starter once it is installed.
