Stiff gas pedal

mine is the only expedition i have to compare to but is it common for the gas pedal to be stiff. Never had a vehicle with such a stiff gas pedal. And was wondering if there is anything i can do about it?

Don't know if they used the drive by wire TB on the 08's but i would check the pedal assy first for anything that could bind it then give it a shot of lube while I was there.

Yeah. The 08 has a drive by wire set up. Like stamp said, check around the assembly. You can take it apart and clean it up. Just be careful.

Check around the pedal or at the wire going to the TB?

Since its drive by wire, as in the pcm controls the throttle plate, no point in checking throttle body. There is no throttle cable so it would have to be in the pedal assembly itself.
