Whenever this rig (31K on it) is on anything but the smoothest of roads, there is a noticeable noise similar to feeling pressure waves in your ear. It is annoying and tiring. I started noticing this issue last spring, but almost didn't trust myself that it was real, but it's very consistent. At the first of this year (probably at about 24K) a local Ford tech managed to pop one of the tires and they ordered a new tire saying that the tread on the remaining three was close enough in depth to the new tire that this would be alright. I don't know if this new tire is related to what I'm hearing/feeling in the ears or not.
Maybe this is some kind or suspension noise as the noise/pressue seems consistent with any road surface texture. Would a bad strut do that?
Just searching for possible things to explain what's going on here. Thanks.
